Immersion
A story told through the prism of water
About the project
I am drawn to the unknowable — a state that lies beyond habitual experience, at the threshold of human perception. I encounter this feeling on the surface of water, where a sense of meditative stillness emerges, together with the feeling of crossing into another state. Water becomes for me not only an image, but a medium in which perception begins to shift, and the boundaries between body, image, and world start to blur.
Since beginning Immersion, water has ceased to be merely a visual motif for me. It has become a way of thinking about becoming: about endless transformation, in which form never fully settles. In this sense, water is not just an element, but a process. It holds the dissolution of boundaries, trust in the flow, and inner flexibility — from which a fluid art emerges as a space of the unconscious.
In Immersion, I am interested not in completion, but in transformation — a movement in which the image exists both as a fragment and as part of a wider current. Water here becomes a form of time: unstable in outline, yet eternal in essence. It is within this movement between change and permanence that the possibility of existing in becoming emerges.
